Part 10: The Ocean of Being – Returning to Source
Series Note: ✨ This is the final part of the series What is Consciousness? Exploring Our True Nature. Each post has been a step closer, wave by wave, to the ocean that has always been here.
Coming Home
Have you ever had a moment when life stopped you in your tracks? Maybe watching your child sleep, or standing at the edge of the sea, or listening to a piece of music that seemed to open a door inside you.
For a moment, there was no you and no world — only presence. Only being.
That’s what this whole journey has been about. Not collecting ideas or polishing philosophies, but remembering what those moments reveal: you are not separate from life. You are life. You are the ocean itself, playing for a time as a wave.
Beyond Concepts
It’s tempting to make all of this into another concept — a neat way of explaining the mystery. But the truth isn’t neat. It’s raw, alive, too intimate for words.
The idea that you are all of it — the ocean, the entire universe, your whole past, your whole present, your whole future, all your desires and possibilities, all your memories and sensations — it’s hard to fathom but when you sit with it long enough, you just know it’s the truth.
That’s not something to agree with or repeat as a mantra. It’s something to feel in your bones. To live as if it were true — because it is.
Living From Source
So what does it look like to live from this knowing?
It doesn’t mean detaching from the world. It means falling more deeply into it.
It means tasting your morning tea as if the whole universe were in that sip.
It means meeting your loved one’s eyes and recognising eternity there.
It means letting grief move through you without shame, knowing that loss is just another wave in the ocean that holds you.
Living from Source makes everything more ordinary, and at the same time, more sacred.
The Invitation
This series ends here, but really, it never ends. Awareness isn’t a lesson to complete. It’s the ground of your being. Every breath is an opening. Every thought, every feeling, every moment is the ocean whispering to itself.
The invitation is simple: notice. Notice the awareness that has been here all along. Rest in it. Trust it. Let it hold you the way the sea holds every wave.
Closing in Awe
We began with the filter of the mind, and we end with the vastness beyond it. Along the way, we touched the “I Am,” the heart of love, the body as doorway, the mystery of time, and the continuity beyond death. Each was a wave pointing back to the same ocean.
And here we are, at the shore again.
You were never just the seeker. You are what you were seeking. You are the ocean of being, infinite and whole, shimmering for a time as this one life.

✨ Reflection
Close your eyes. Place a hand on your chest. Feel your breath rise and fall.
Ask yourself: What is it that knows this breath?
Rest there. That knowing is the ocean of your awareness, your eternal self, that particle of God that comes from the spiritual realms into this physical dimension.
Remember, you are what you were seeking. The wave was always the ocean.
🌸 Epilogue
If you’ve walked this 10-part journey with me, thank you. Truly. Writing these words has been as much a remembering for me as I hope it has been for you. Awareness isn’t a philosophy to master, but a home we return to again and again.
So, take these teachings lightly. Let them sit beside you like a friend, not a rulebook. Keep noticing the ocean that holds you, the love that breathes through you, the truth that whispers beneath every wave of life.
And stay with me — there is more to explore together. More questions to hold, more stories to share, more mysteries to enter. This is just the beginning!
I’ll be delving into more topics like this, but also into some personal experiences in mentorship, in business, in financial failure and success, in relationships, parenthood and more. I hope you’ll join me for the ride 😘
